In Rockdale, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Illinois vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (815) 582-4300. Rockdale is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rockdale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I can’t recommend Joliet Tire & Auto enough. Two other places looked at my car and couldn’t find anything — but they did. They took their time, stayed after hours, and were incredibly thorough until they found a hidden tracker in a very unusual spot. Their dedication, honesty, and attention to detail truly stood out. You can tell they genuinely care and don’t rush the job — they do it right. Truly amazing, kind, and trustworthy people. Highly recommend their service!

- Honest Pricing - Clear Communication - Quality Work -(Five Years of Honest, Reliable Service) ---------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve been bringing my cars to Joliet Tire & Auto for about five years now, and I can honestly say I trust them completely. When people look for a mechanic, the biggest concerns are always the same: Are they going to overcharge me? Do they actually know what they’re doing? Am I being told the truth? Theo has always been upfront and honest from day one. I inherited a 2014 Buick Encore — and if you know those vehicles, you know they’re known for certain turbo-related issues. Before anything even went wrong, Theo explained what problems are common with that model, what I could expect long-term, and what the potential costs would be if I planned to keep it. No pressure. No scare tactics. Just facts. He’s always been transparent with pricing. In fact, he has encouraged me to compare prices if I wanted to. That kind of confidence says a lot. I’ve never felt overcharged, and I’ve always felt informed. This isn’t a dealership — it’s a skilled, adaptable mechanic shop that works on all kinds of vehicles. I’ve seen everything come th
